Paintings by Howard Friedman will be on display in the Main Gallery at North Tahoe Arts through September. Friedman’s Plein Air landscapes are created with a palette knife, applying many layers, expressing his love of color. In this manner his landscapes have a deep texture, rich color and a three-dimensional appearance.

Artwork by local Plein Air artists will be on display at the North Tahoe Arts Corison Loft Gallery. Accomplished artists, Reif Erickson, Abby Meyer, Monika Piper Johnson and Pat Edwards will be showing new landscapes in oils, pastels and watercolors.

Artwork is on view Sept. 11- Oct. 7, 2013. Gallery and Artisan Shop hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m., closed on Tuesdays. The opening reception will be hosted at North Tahoe Arts on, Saturday, September 14, 5-7 p.m. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. Come out to show your support for the visual arts in your community.
