Come to The Arts Building Gallery to enjoy an evening amongst the artists of 'Forever Free: Interactions of the American River Canyons.' This Closing Reception will feature dancer Suzanne Grace-Rolle and all participating artists will be present to discuss their works. Grace-Rolle will present 'Flowing River Dance,' an interpretive dance on the American River Canyons. 'Forever Free' is a wild and scenic multi-media, themed group exhibition and related events about the American River Canyons. The exhibit will showcase visual, performing and literary artists of any discipline, who are inspired by the American River Canyons. The spirit of the exhibit is to produce a high quality, multi-media exhibition pairing 2-D and 3-D visual art with interactive presentations such as poetry readings, musical performances and/or hands-on workshops in The Arts Building and related outdoor events such as river outings, hikes and/or on-site lectures or readings. The exhibition and events celebrate the importance of the American River to regional communities and beyond. Exhibition and events are presented cooperatively by PlacerArts and Protect American River Canyons. The Arts Building Gallery is located at 808 Lincoln Way in downtown Auburn. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays, Noon to 4 pm. For more information call (530) 885-2787, or email office@placerarts.org.
