The 3rd annual Outside the Box Show is a fundraiser benefitting PlacerArts. Regional artists are issued a box and given two months to come up with whatever creation the mind can imagine. Upon their return, the boxes are exhibited in The Arts Building Gallery on silent auction opening on the Thursday night of Auburn Art Walk, April 8, 6 - 9 pm. The results are a must-see! On Saturday, May 22, at 7 pm the top silent auction bids will open the Live Auction Gala. Special awards will be presented this year by renowned gallery owner John Mowen of Mowen Solinsky Gallery in Nevada City. The boxes will come to life through the quick-talking tongue of local, professional live auctioneer Dan Macon.
